Seniors & Head Start Youngsters Share a Teddy Bear Picnic
Volunteers from RSVP and the Foster Grandparent program shared a Teddy Bear Picnic this week with youngsters in CVCAC's Head Start program. Senior volunteers read story books, shared a teddy graham snack and presented teddy bears to children ages one to five in the early education classrooms at the Head Start Learning Together Center at
“What a great opportunity for both the kids and volunteers to bring a little sunshine into each other’s lives,” remarks Kathy Keinath, Parent Involvement Manager. “We build stronger communities when we nurture connections like this one.”
