CVCAC’s Community Economic Development program operates an Artisan Gallery and Community Kitchen facility in partnership with LACE (Local Agricultural Community Exchange) located in downtown Barre at 159 N. Main Street.
Artisan Gallery
The Artisan Gallery at LACE provides you with an affordable place to put your arts and crafts in the marketplace. Our Micro Business Gallery staff can help you with product development, display and packaging, inventory management, pricing, access to additional markets, artisan networking opportunities, e-commerce, marketing, publicity and more! And, you have access to all business training and counseling available through the Micro Business Development Program in order to grow your business.
Who is eligible? Gallery space and services are open to all Vermont artisans, priced by square footage and available on a sliding fee scale. Additional support services are available if your household income is up to 100% of the federal poverty level.
Community Kitchen
The LACE Community Kitchen provides you with an affordable place to produce and retail local, value-added food items. Our Micro Business Kitchen staff can help you no matter how new or inexperienced. We assist and advise food entrepreneurs with food sourcing, basic food production, safe food handling practices, food costing, packaging and handling, labeling, marketing, and more! And, you have access to all business training and counseling available through the Micro Business Development Program in order to grow your business.
Who is eligible? Kitchen rental and services are open to all Vermont food entrepreneurs, priced case-by-case and available on a sliding fee scale. Additional support services are available if your household income is up to 100% of the federal poverty level.
