CVCAC Workforce Development is committed to assisting you to break down barriers to employment, improve your job skills and increase your ability to be employed through education and training.

Through a variety of past programs and partnerships, we have been able to help by:

• Intensive case management‚Äîhonest and trusting relationships between you and staff to help you reach your goals
• Support for training and education that establishes career pathways and leads directly to employment
• Job placement and follow-up support services

VtGREEN

CVCAC is leading VtGREEN--a diverse, statewide public-private partnership to prepare workers for careers in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries. VtGREEN may be able to help you establish a career in a green industry through assessment, training, supports, job placement and follow-up services.

Advocacy

We educate the public about the importance of a skilled workforce, because a strong Vermont workforce means a strong Vermont economy.

We are on the statewide Workforce Development Council, as well as several regional Workforce Investment Boards, and collaborate with the Vermont Department of Labor.

CVCAC is a founding organization of the Vermont Coalition for Workforce Solutions (CWS), a network of workforce development practitioners and others advocating for a dynamic, well-organized system of training and education in Vermont and driving force behind the passage of Act 46, Vermont's "Next Generation Bill," the state's first ever comprehensive workforce development legislation. CWS is affiliated with The Workforce Alliance, a national workforce development advocacy body focusing on federal, regional and state policy.
